These works are all oil on canvas and were painted in Bar Harbor, ME between 2005 and 2011. All (except the gray landscape at the bottom right) were started plain air; some were finished on site and some were finished in the studio with photographic references. Bar Harbor is an impressive and breathtaking place if you're an artist. Artists like Thomas Cole and Frederic Church inspired thousands of others to visit in the 1800's. Today Bar Harbor is a destination the world over. The phrases "Tourist Season" and "Deer Season" are sometimes used in the same context by locals.
